Step-by-Step Structure
TruePhonics doesn’t jump from sound to sentence. It follows a clear, carefully ordered path. Every new skill is introduced only after the previous one is mastered. This logical progression ensures children understand what they’re learning.
Multisensory Approach
Children don’t just see a word, they interact with it. Each activity is designed to engage multiple senses. Kids trace letters, drag sounds, match words to pictures, and read each part as they move through the activity. This hands-on engagement helps concepts stick and builds real reading confidence.
Independent Mastery
TruePhonics never rushes the learning process. Progress is only unlocked when a child is ready. This builds true confidence, encouraging independent readers who know they’ve earned every step forward.
The 5 Core Activities
Learn Sounds and Trace Letters
Recognising letter sounds and shapes, digraphs, and vowel teams
Blends and Word Practice
Blending sounds, decoding, spelling patterns, and understanding prefixes/suffixes
Red Words
Recognising exception words like “was” or “said” that don’t follow phonics rules
Sentence Reading
Spotting phonics patterns in words, reading full sentences and building comprehension
Book Reading
Reading fluently and with understanding, unlocking intentionally written stories and building stamina.
Each activity introduces and reinforces specific reading skills in a format children enjoy. The more they play, the more they learn.
